Our Vision
Finding the Keys to Life and Learning

At Ashton St Peter’s Primary School, our vision is to help every child discover the “keys” they need to grow, succeed and flourish. We aim to equip our children with the knowledge, skills and values that will guide them both in their learning and in their lives beyond school.

Within our Collective Worship, we explore the life of St Peter, reflecting on his journey and the lessons it offers us about faith, courage and perseverance. This helps us to deepen our understanding of our vision and what it means for our school community.

We were proud to launch our new vision during a special Vision Day, which was supported by the Bishop of Bedford, bringing our whole school community together to celebrate and reflect on its meaning.

Our Values

We are a Values Education school and our values are at the heart of our ethos and everyday school life. They shape the way we learn, behave and treat one another, and are woven throughout our curriculum and Collective Worship.

Each half term, we focus on one value so that children can develop a clear and meaningful understanding of it, and how it can be shown in their daily lives.

Our values also help us to connect with our wider community. For example, we support the Salvation Army during Harvest and mark Remembrance Day with our neighbours, giving children opportunities to put these values into action in real and meaningful ways.
